Who we are

Changing world.
Unchanging grace.

Since 1912, Salerno Southern Methodist Church has been a people-first congregation: a place where neighbors become family and scripture is taken seriously. Jesus said, "My house shall be called a house of prayer." We take Him at His word, so every Sunday begins with the Psalms, hymns, and prayer before anything else.

"God is good, all the time."

Your first Sunday

New here? Here's what to expect so you can walk in feeling at home.

Come as you are

Worship with our choir and a congregation that loves meeting new faces. Wear whatever you're comfortable in; the 11:00 service usually ends around noon.

For your kids

Children have their own Sunday School class at 9:45, and there's a kids' service and a nursery during the 11:00 service.

Parking and entry

Handicap parking and several regular spaces are directly in front of the church, with additional parking around the side toward the rear of the building. Come in through the front doors; they'll be wide open, and someone will be there to greet you.

Daily devotionals

Pray the Psalms
with us.

Morning and evening, we read through all 150 Psalms together every month. Today's readings are always waiting for you, wherever you are.

Our story

Built on prayer
est. 1912.

It started in 1912 with a handful of families meeting in homes, then in a one-room schoolhouse, carrying their own chairs and lanterns. More than a hundred years later, the same people-first faith is still at the heart of everything we do.
